When Rebecca Flynn, 29, first viewed the two-bedroom terrace, she now calls home, she was delighted to discover a ramshackle outbuilding at the bottom of the generous garden. And while most people might have dismissed it as no more than a useful store, Rebecca instantly recognised its potential as additional living space. ‘Despite having just a dirt floor, leaking roof and rotten windows, it did have an electricity supply, and I just knew it would make the perfect garden room and home office,’ recalls Rebecca. A year later, and she was ready to take on the challenge.
