WHY WE’RE RUNNING IT

The growing band of British electric car jockeys will know better than most that EVs tend to offer you a big selection of driving control variations. I discovered many weeks ago that the MG 4 has as many as any of them. But after 4000 miles of driving, I still haven’t quite settled on an ideal set-up.
This might be because different settings suit different road conditions, or because my driving moods change, or because I simply enjoy the what-will-we-have-today? game with myself. Changes are on offer with every journey because you have to delve into the settings each time to turn off the god-awful lane departure assist, one of the most intrusive and least helpful I’ve ever encountered.
