Cyberster may not woo that many old-school
MG owners, after all

I’m conflicted. Last week I wrote some bullish stuff about the new MG Cyberster EV roadster, unveiled at the firm’s Marylebone HQ by chief designer Carl Gotham. But subsequent chats with various owners of existing MGs rather complicate my idyllic picture. Each wanted to know (with furrowed brow) about the weight, size and driving position of the Cyberster. Each was unimpressed by the presence of a 500bhp 4WD version if it made the essential car fatter and heavier. And each disqualified himself as a Cyberster buyer.
