I was surprised to see an EV button in my Clio E-Tech, as its electric motor makes just 53bhp and its battery is a tiny 1.2kWh. Adrive into town seemed an ideal time to try it, after I had hit ‘E-Save’ on the screen on the way there to gain a full charge. ‘EV unavailable’, read the dial display. Oh. Going home, though, it had no issue. Odd. Turns out it can do up to 27mph for a few miles. Decent enough. KC
