It’s simple, really…
Matt Prior’s article about speed limits for vans and pick-up trucks contains one error. He states that single-cab pick-ups can never be dual-purpose vehicles. In fact, they can, providing they have four-wheel drive, they have seating for at least one passenger in addition to the driver and, of course, they comply with both the unladen and gross weight limits that Matt quotes.

Sounding off
Your latest issue finally persuaded me that I will never own an electric car, because none of them have aCD player – absolutely useless for those of us who have hundreds of CDs and who cannot abide the abysmal sound quality of streaming services.
Ian Fairweather Via email
Although CD quality is superior to Spotify streaming, at 1411kbps over 320kbps, Amazon and Apple offer streaming at 3730kbps and 9216kbps, the latter also with support for Dolby Atmos surround sound. Listening via Bluetooth instead of a wire limits any streaming to around 900kbps, but still, at such high quality these differences are barely, if at all, perceptible. In any case, a car is by no means the best place for acoustics, especially when it’s in motion –KC
