Mileage 4256 Last seen 3.12.25 Richard Lane kindly returned my car from his Euro trip with a bottle of wine, but also a glitch: the inbuilt Google Maps thought it was stuck somewhere in Italy. It was easy to reboot the touchscreen, but this left the sat-nav unable to locate itself. Volvo dispatched a mechanic to mine, and he fixed it via a hard reset – an hour-long job that required disconnecting the 12V system. You get three years of Volvo Assistance with a new car, then it’s £145 per year. Perhaps a wise precaution.
