Red Bull Racing is renowned for its fast Formula 1 pit stops, so no wonder boss Christian Horner was “disappointed” by a new regulation that will come into force from the Hungarian Grand Prix that introduces a minimum reaction time for key moments in a tyre change. The ruling mandates a minimum 0.15sec delay between the nuts being confirmed as tight and the mechanic operating the jack dropping the car; and 0.2sec from the jack going down to the driver receiving the signal to leave.
