Lotus has outlined plans to launch four new series-production electric cars by 2026. Production of the new models will be split between Lotus’s long-time home in Hethel, Norfolk, and a £900 million plant in Wuhan, China.
That site will be the home of Lotus Technology, a new division dedicated exclusively to the manufacturing of EVs.
Three Chinese-built Lotus EVs will arrive in the next five years: following the Type 132 E-segment SUV will be the Type 133 four-door coupé in 2023 and the Type 134 D-segment SUV in 2024.
