ell, this is interesting: I’m at a friend’s used car lot and my attention is drawn to a tidy BMW Z3 being prepared for delivery. Surely some OAP will be picking it up later to recreate a missed-out-on mid-life crisis? But no, the buyer is 20.
Like a lot of others, he has seen through the grim tyranny of a Citroën C1 with Halfords wheel trims. It will always be about the insurance premium, of course, but my mate is finding increasing numbers of teenagers and earlytwentysomethings taking a punt and making an investment in what they consider ‘interesting’. Also at the back of the lot is an Alfa Romeo Spider. It’s in need of a clean before it can qualify as retail-ready, but hey, it’s red.
