Transition Towns
We discover the global movement that is bettering communities and helping them become more sustainable
What began as a mere experiment back in 2008, now has more than 2,600 people, initiatives and projects worldwide taking part. Enlisting the help and inspiring the minds of people on a global scale with the same goal – to create a better, more sustainable community. The Transition Network movement focuses on solutions and communities, but also, the simple act of having fun. Ultimately, their main aim is to raise awareness of sustainable living and build local resilience. Communities are encouraged to find ways of reducing energy usage as well as increasing their own self-reliance. With its infectious and inspirational energy, we find out more about the project.
