Living in harmony
Thank you for the article by Mike Dade providing valuable advice on issues that may arise if you have bats in your home. It would be brilliant if you were to offer in-depth guidance on other species, such as butterflies and moths.
I must say that while I found the content suitably balanced and helpful, I thought the title was slightly confrontational and dismissive. I believe the phrase ‘dealing with bats’ could immediately suggest that a problem is present – whereas for many, bats are welcomed. This sort of language may bias a person’s frame of reference and has become an issue often inherent in the human-wildlife conflict. Perhaps a more appropriate phrase would be ‘living with bats’.
