Well, this issue has been something of a whirlwind! We were champing at the bit to let you know about the new Help to Build equity loan scheme in our previous edition, which included a teaser about how it could help those with smaller deposits (such as first-timers and younger buyers), as well as self builders who simply want some extra assurance as they look to realise their projects. Unfortunately, we just missed the boat, as the government didn’t formally launch in time for our press deadline (flabbergasting, I know). Fast forward a week, and the good news was out as Help to Build hit the headlines in The Times, as well as on your favourite website Self-Build.co.uk!
