American Miniaturist  |  Issue 225
We have such a wide variety of features and tutorials in this issue of American Miniaturist. I am always inspired by the quality of miniature art that lands on these pages. I am also very grateful to all who share tutorials with others.
We all have to start somewhere and there are lots of people that start with a simple project in AM. I try to show the wide variety of skill levels and interests in each issue. I can remember back in the 90s when I was a loyal subscriber how inspired I was by the features and projects. I still think about a little beach house I saw where they added wet footprints going up the outdoor deck steps. Talk about attention to detail and creating a moment in time! I need to look that one up someday and read it all over again.
From me to you; every little thing you make is important in some way. I ask that you encourage yourself often while you’re creating. Speak to yourself as you would expect your best friend to speak to you. As artists we can be very hard on ourselves. Share your knowledge with others. Take feedback with an open mind but also cautiously. If you ever have a question for me I am only an email away. Enjoy this issue of AM!
