An Oxford antiques centre facing closure has been rescued after a white knight was made aware of its plight via ATG and Twitter.
Antiques on High has traded in the High Street in the university town for 20 years but the current owner, antiquarian book dealer Tony Sloggett, is soon to retire.
A search for a buyer of the business began last year and now a south coast businessman is in discussion to take on a new lease for the shop and invest in the business. A story on ATG’s website was posted on Twitter and spotted by the businessman after it was retweeted.
