Not quite perfect but always likely to exceed the £300-350 estimate, this Lalique powder bowl, right, was one of the top sellers at Bamfords’ (19.5% buyer’s premium) August 2 sale at Derby.
The c.1930, 4in (10.5cm) diameter clear and frosted glass bowl was engraved to the base R Lalique, France, 26:2 and featured a moulded cockerel to the cover and applied stylised wheatsheaves to the sides.
