This linocut, right, comes from one of just 30 copies of Rigby Graham’s The Casquets… the most dangerous Channel Islands issued by the Brewhouse Press in 1972.
Signed by all involved in its production, it is one of the few copies not already in institutional collections, said Keys (20% buyer’s premium) of Aylsham. It sold their August 30-31 auction for £780.
In the same Norfolk sale a fine looking copy in original pictorial cloth gilt of an 1894 edition of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice illustrated by Hugh Thomson sold well at £900.
