New grants will be available for people reopening shops, galleries and antiques centres after lockdown.
Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced the new ‘restart’ money for non-essential retail as part of the March 3 Budget. Those reopening shops (including art and antiques centres and galleries) will receive grants of up to £6000 per premises. The £5bn of new grants were on top of the £20bn already provided.
