PUPILS at Tarbert Academy are allowed to sit more exams than anywhere else in the country.
Up to nine National four and five courses can be taken at Tarbert, while children in other schools in Argyll and Bute, including Lochgilphead Joint Campus, can sit up to six.
Through a freedom of information request, think-tank Reform Scotland discovered how many courses a pupil was allowed to sit. It varied between five and eight subjects, with only Tarbert Academy routinely allowing more.
