OCTOBER saw the start of Inveraray and District Local History Society’s new season. A big turnout heard a fascinating talk from Archie Gray, son of the Inveraray church minister during the Second World War.
Archie held the audience spellbound as he recalled the antics he and his sister Jane got up to during their father’s time at the manse.
They obviously had a great time, even while their father served with the armed forces overseas. They also enjoyed playing with their neighbours, Lesley and Finella Munro, granddaughters of famous novelist Neil Munro.
