Blowing in the wind

THE WOODWIND competitions were hotly contested, with a lot of the classes having more than 20 entrants.

Holly Helbert showed some early promise in the festival with her performance in the primary woodwind solo class.

There was a fitting end to the classes at the joint campus on Saturday as Tiegan Holroyd took top place and won the Timothy Flynn Memorial Trophy, an award named after Tiegan’s late great-grandfather.

Winner of the woodwind solo (S4-6), Theo Maddox, with Argyll and Bute District Council Cup.
