Police Scotland has recorded a number of cases of livestock being attacked by dogs across the region since the start of lambing.
Across the country, the force has seen reports of livestock worrying rise 55 per cent – from 45 to 70 – over the lambing season but this is being put down to a successful campaign to encourage livestock keepers to report these incidents.
