The wheels are in motion and the date has been set for the third festival of cycling known as Grinduro which is making a welcome return to Arran this summer.
Taking place over the weekend beginning Saturday July 13, Grinduro is a celebration of cycling with as much emphasis on the enjoyment of the event as the riding. With good food, an impressive display of art and handmade bikes, live music, free camping and a festival atmosphere on offer, Grinduro differs from other cycling events.
Limited to 400 riders, Grinduro only has four timed events. The remainder of the rides are for the sheer enjoyment of cycling, along with taking in the stunning views and cycling routes Arran has to offer.
