Arran is to pilot a new way of joined-up working to help tackle priorities on the island, writes Colin Smeeton. Currently, the island has a separate Community Planning Partnership Locality Partnership and a Health and Social Care Locality Planning Forum.
From April, both organisations will integrate to allow a more cohesive approach to tackling issues on Arran which may be better solved by having both groups working together.
This will be the first time in Scotland that locality partnerships have been integrated in this way and, if successful, could pave the way for further close working between locality partnerships across the rest of North Ayrshire.
