Bowls International  |  August 2024
BRITISH BOWLS AT ITS BEST
Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, hosted the British Bowls Championships and International Series. New British Isles champions were crowned from England, Scotland, Wales, Jersey and Ireland in 14 events. The championships were the first World Bowls Series ranking points event for the UK.
In the International Series, it was double delight for the hosts as they won gold in both the men’s and women’s events. Taking the lead from World Bowls, there was a format change at this year’s event to include all disciplines being executed by 15 player teams across both the men’s and women’s event.
Every match saw action across a full green, with each session featuring either three singles and three fours matches, or three pairs and three triples matches, with the score on each of the six rinks contributing to the overall result. Enjoy our special supplement which celebrates all the successes.
