Samsung Galaxy A56
Out of this world
The Google Pixel 7a (£279 from www. snipca.com/53388,reviewed in Issue 660) has been our favourite Android phone for some time now, but it’s finally time for it to make way. Our new top dog is the Galaxy A56, which is the successor to Samsung’s mid-range A55 model, which we reviewed in Issue 688.
To keep things simple, the A56 is only available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage – all run by its Exynos 1580 processor. This impressive combination helps its performance nudge ahead of the Pixel 7a. In fact the A56 was faster in all our benchmark tests, whether it was navigating Android, handling everyday tasks such as email, or playing some casual games.
