Compare mobile signals in different locations
The phone-signal checker from Which? that you mentioned in Issue 719 (page 7) has an excellent Advanced option that lets you compare signal strength across five locations. We used this recently to help us decide where to go on holiday, because we needed a reliable signal to stay in touch with vulnerable relatives.
Visit www.snipca.com/56267 then select ‘Advanced mode’ on the left ( 1 in our screenshot – it shows ‘Basic mode’ by default). Now type your postcode and choose your provider (or leave ‘Best provider’ selected). Type up to five postcodes and you’ll see them appear to the right of the search box 2 . Now click ‘View comparison’ and the comparison table will appear 3 showing the percentage scores for each postcode and provider. Clicking the bin icon removes all postcodes, resetting the map for a new search.
