UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF THE BLACK GUARDIAN, the Doctor’s new companion, Turlough, sabotages the TARDIS console. However, a fail-safe system locks the TARDIS onto the nearest spacecraft, creating a door that opens directly from Nyssa’s room. The travellers find themselves on an apparently deserted passenger liner, where they’re soon joined by space pirates Kari and Olvir, who have boarded the ship to plunder its cargo.
