GT Porsche  |  December 13
This month sees us get behind the wheel of some old and very significant 911s. The first is our cover star, the 911 S/T, the ultimate factory ‘bitsa’ from a time when Porsche allowed you to specify a 911 to the exact spec-you needed for whichever motor sport discipline you had chosen to compete in. Not only is it a rare 911, but the S/T is one of the most significant too, which is why we jumped at the chance to drive an example from Sweden back to the UK.
Our other significant 911 is GVB 911D, one of the trio of original two-litre cars imported by Porsche Cars GB, this is a 911 with a back story like few others, and it is a case of what hasn’t it achieved rather than what it has.
Our classic 911-fest continues in this issue with us hiring an early pre-73 car for 24 hours of escapism, and spending a weekend in the pits with a gaggle of pre-66 911s taking on the brilliant Spa Six Hours. And of course, we’ve also got our heady mix of views, opinions, advice and latest news all in the December 2013 issue of GT Porsche.
