HOW DID YOU GET INTO YOUR ROLE?
I’ve always had a fascination for history and as a child spent many family holidays visiting country houses and museums. After reading history at university, I stumbled upon the role of Textile Conservator while searching online during one of my temp jobs. I loved the fact that it would allow me to have direct contact with objects connected to historical figures or events, and that I could contribute to prolonging the life of these treasures. is discovery led to an MA in Textile Conservation, after which I secured an internship at Historic Royal Palaces (HRP); I'm still here, ten years later.
