Knitting | Winter 09
Feeling as though I have only just got the kids back to school after the summer, and restored the house to some kind of pre-holiday shape, suddenly it’s full steam ahead to Christmas! the race gets underway, we learn to run and knit) a little faster, which is just what I have had to do this month. Having spent three fabulous, if a little hectic, days at the Knitting and Stitching show at Alexandra Palace meeting lots of lovely knitters (on the Knitting stand and at the Student Knitted Textiles
showcase) followed by a quick dash up to London for the launch of the Fifteen knit kit (a very glamorous and tasty event), whilst putting together this issue, I feel well prepared for the final sprint to the festive fi nishing line.
With perfect timing this month, the weather suddenly turned crisp and cold, setting the scene for our Winter shoot. Snuggling into an idyllic country cottage, the day was a seasonal round of homemade soup, log fires and of course, gorgeous knits.
