Let's Get Crafting  |  No.116
Hello! This edition encompasses some of my favourite things about Christmas. Wearing a joyously festive jumper (check out
our mini ones on page 16), playing games with my family (you’ll love our festive tic-tac-toe on page 32) and singing carols in a beautiful church – I bet our knitted angel (p35) has the voice of a… well, an angel. There’s also plenty to get excited about if you crochet for children. Heather Gibbs’ elf (p13) is ideal for some staged antics. Plus, we’ve also got a wintry home (p28) and Christmas car on page 8 for festive make-believe fun. Prefer knitting? Little ones will adore Sachiyo Ishii’s toy soldiers over on page 10.
Our North Pole kit has made all of these makes and more possible. Featuring an incredible ten balls of yarn in a heady mix of shades, as well as a 4mm hook and needles, you’ve got what you need to get started right away. Once you’ve used up your pack and raided your stash to make more, you’ll want to check out our bonus projects: a gorgeous blanket knit-alongwith Debbie Bliss kick-starts on page 60, plus there’s also your fold-out Miffy pattern of course. I’ve barely scratched the surface. Issue 116 is overflowing with patterns and ideas, and we hope you enjoy every little
bit of it. From myself and the team, happy Christmas crafting!
