Before settling in Bath, where our Resolution Records shop resides, I spent most of my adult life in London after studying at UEL.
Sometimes, BaThfeels like a different planet, although lots of other ex-Londoners resettle here after “big city burn-out”, and the close proximity of the BBC studios in Bristol also attracts plenty of media types. One day, a media producer, who lived locally, walked into our store holding a tatty cardboard box. We chatted amicably for a few minutes, and he told me he was a retired BBC producer. He popped the box onto the counter and we carried on talking.
