Genius tip!
If you tap Disconnect on the iPhone screen, you will have to connect it to your Mac with a cable to use it as a webcam again.
Apple’s Continuity suite of features has been around for years. It’s this feature that enables you to use your iPhone as a scanner for your Mac, for example. The latest addition to the feature set, Continuity Camera (confusingly, it has the same name as the scanning and photo features), enables you to use your iPhone as a webcam for your Mac when making FaceTime, Zoom or Teams calls. In fact, you can use it with any application that would normally use the FaceTime camera on your Mac.
