Cycling
A RECORD number of Lochaber High School teachers and pupils have taken to using their bikes as a form of transport to and from school as part of the Sustrans Big Pedal 2018 initiative.
Enticed by a great array of prizes donated by local businesses and organisations, the cyclists have reaped the benefits of a little bit of exercise before classes begin, despite some interesting weather. Numbers were up almost 20 per cent on last year with a total of 527 pedalling during the two-week period. This total number of bikers makes Lochaber High the third largest participating high school in Scotland for 2018.
