Fort William is a popular destination for tourists, and our hotels and businesses depend on visitors enjoying a positive experience to ensure they continue to thrive.
So it is particularly galling to hear that anti-social behaviour and late-night disturbances at the town’s West End car park have caused sleepless nights for some hotel guests, and forced one hotel owner to take legal advice in a bid to stop the problem.
David Wilson, the owner of Fort William’s popular Lime Tree An Ealdhain hotel, restaurant and art gallery, says he is at the end of his tether over the problems, which have been going on for years, and despite numerous complaints to Highland Council, which owns the car park, nothing has been done to stop the boy racers or overnight campers from using the car park.
