THE Friends of Oban Hospice, the fundraising arm of the hospice, were at the recent Macaulay Cup final where they operated a wheel of fortune and raffle, raising £317.
Prior to the Macaulay Cup, £273 was raised from a home baking stall at the Bank of Scotland, a sum which is to be matched by the bank.
Following these fundraisers in early September was the annual fashion show at the Argyllshire Gathering which raised £1,346 for the hospice charity and last week a coffee morning, which included a raffle, was organised by the friends at Oban Bowling Club, which brought in the splendid figure of £694.
