Organists' Review  |  March 2017
Following on from December's Wurlitzer extravaganza, this issue is more eclectic. Nils Henrik Asheim opens the magazine with his feature about Ryde & Berg's Op.100 installed in Stavanger's concert hall. Remarkable though the idea is to those who read this magazine, concert organs are rare in Norway and Nils has had an uphill battle to make listening to the instrument acceptable to his audiences – the pull-out is an unusual example of how he has fused many cultural worlds; it was taken during the inaugural recital.
Although we included inserts in the last issue to sell full tickets for the organ festival, Peter King returns in his final year as President to sell his idea behind the 2017 Festival. Booking forms are once more included with this issue, so either visit iao.org.uk/booking to reserve your place or post the attached form with a cheque.
