Scramble Magazine  |  500 - January 2021
This edition of Scramble is nothing less than a special edition as it is the 500th time the document has been put together by and for aviation enthusiasts. And although some editorial members were with the team the very first edition well over 40 years ago, also this month you can expect the latest aviation news from around the globe on civil and military registrations.
In addition to the regular movements and news items, this month’s edition includes three interesting articles.
With the end of production of the A380 on the horizon and many stored A380s blocking the view to the horizon, Anton Homma gives an overview of the A380 program and of the current status of all aircraft. One can only imagine how much money has been paid for all this aluminium now standing idle in the deserts.
Also we are very proud to present two milestone articles from two of our expert editors, being an assessment of the aircraft of the Paraguayan Air force carrying four-digit serials and on the other side of the globe a glimpse of the activities of the Indonesian Air Force around the MiG-19 and MiG21 operations, the acquisition of which was initially intended to finally get rid of the Dutch on that continent.
