LIZZIE'S RETURN
Watering problems could not dampen spirits as ‘princess royal’ class no. 6201 Princess Elizabeth made a triumphant return to the main line on August 23, hauling a steam Dreams railtour from London Victoria to minehead. The ‘Cathedrals Express’ marked the longawaited return to steam for No. 6201. Withdrawn at the end of 2012, primarily for work on the boiler, Princess Elizabeth had been due to resume main line duties in June, but after its first test run at the Midland Railway Butterley on June 17, the Crewe-built locomotive was failed with a hot axlebox on the leading bogie.
