OLIVER CROMWELL AND THE 1968-2018: GRAND FINALE
End of steam ‘Britannia’ No. 70013 Oliver Cromwell should bow out as it did in 1968, at the head of a farewell trip over the Settle & Carlisle. The National Collection ‘Pacific’ was restored to operation for the fortieth anniversary of the end of steam in 2008 after a Steam Railway y readers’ appeal; with the expiry of its main line ticket next spring, the final run is expected to be on March 10th.
