Pro-ing up in public

It’s built its name on sub-£500 phones with flagship specs, but OnePlus’s new 7 Pro raises the stakes with a price to match its enhanced skillset

So, OnePlus has levelled up. This, the 7 Pro, is easily its most tech-packed phone to date. It has an amazing screen, the most discreet selfie cam you’ve ever met, and a brilliant rear camera.

Nothing is free, though – not in this world. Yes, OnePlus is all grown up, but the price might not please those who lost their minds over the company’s £229 One model back in 2014.

And while the OnePlus 7 looks just like last year’s 6T (more or less), the 7 Pro does not.

This phone has what every scarily expensive Android needs in 2019: curves. Like the Galaxy S10 Plus and Huawei P30 Pro, the sides of the back and front swoop around at the sides.
