Elden Ring was the videogame to play in 2022, released by FromSoft, the same creative Studio that brought us Dark Souls, Sekiro and Bloodborne. When it came to adapting the game to a cardboard friendly format, Steamforged were the brave Tarnished who grasped the challenge with both hands, successfully crowdfunding the game to a total of over £3 million, making it one of the most successful board game campaigns at the tail end of 2022. We caught up with the Lead Designer Sherwin Matthews to chat a bit about how you condense such a huge game down to some pressed and printed trees.
