A happy July to you all! As I write this from my current desk set-up in my garden, the sun
is shining, it’s 21°C and there are bees and butterflies everywhere. It is certainly a joyous time of year, when wildlife is buzzing and blooming and we are all looking to get outside
at every opportunity. This might be working in your garden, courtyard or balcony
(I recommend!), going for a walk on your lunch break or preparing your dinner using the BBQ. We Brits certainly love to grill outside, with the number of BBQs held in the summer rising from two a year to more than 10 in the last decade (thefoodpeople.co.uk). With UK BBQ season now in full swing, we think it’s the right time to share with you all our favourite grill party recipes and tips. Did you know that the average BBQ causes more greenhouse gas emissions than a 90-mile car journey? In truth, they can be awful for the environment if done without consideration, from the food cooked to the single-use tableware purchased. But don’t fret! As well as recipes and tips, we are here to help you to host the most sustainable and eco-friendly BBQ party you can. Make sure to read our special feature!
Also this month, we bring you an interview with two of the most inspirational people we have ever met — the individuals behind must-watch documentary, The End of Medicine. We chat to director and BAFTA award-winning filmmaker, Alex Lockwood (the man who created smash-hit 73 Cows), and former factory farm livestock vet and whistle-blower, Dr Alice Brough. The pair talk us through the informative and investigative doc, exploring the potentialities of antimicrobial resistance and future pandemics — what you read will make you want to share the vegan message further and wider than ever before.

This magazine changed my life!

Vegan Life magazine fills me with inspiration and hope. The articles are well written and very informative. I only went vegan last January and since then have learned so much, not just about food but lifestyle, clothing, make up, cleaning products, who knew there was so many areas where animals are exploited. I love making the recipes in the magazine can can honestly say I have made almost all of them. Thank you Vegan Life Team, keep up the great work. Reviewed 18 September 2019

Fantastic mag

I love this mag especially as I believe it's the only one actually written and run by a vegan team so for me it has authenticity. The tone of the articles is spot on and the recipes easy to follow. Some very good daily advise for those jst starting out or anyone wanting to go from just a food perspective to embrace the whole culture and lifestyle. Reviewed 08 January 2019

Love it!

By far the best vegan mag on the block. My whole family love the diversity of articles and great recipes. The magazine helped me to go vegan and stay vegan. Since subscribing we must have cooked all the recipes and read every issue cover to cover. A very inspiring read, Love it! Reviewed 14 June 2018

Best vegan magazine

This is my favourite vegan magazine. It has a good mix of different things: interviews, articles, recipes, product reviews, etc. I find other similar magazines focus too much on just recipes but I like the balance this magazine has. Reviewed 03 June 2017

Relevant information

I love this magazine, much cheaper on the iPad than in the shop, I think all the articles are very informative and is very encouraging for those that lead a vegan lifestyle! Reviewed 03 April 2015
