TV personality Nell McAndrew, 45, shot to fame in the 1990s as the body double for Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider 3 videogame. She has always loved staying fit, but her love for running came later in life. “I was on the netball team at school and I had two great teachers who encouraged us to take part in all kinds of other sports, but I wasn’t a runner,” she says. “I didn’t think that was my strength.”
After she left school, Nell started running around her local park to stay fit, along with circuit training and cycling to her job at Yorkshire Bank. “I’ve always loved making fitness part of my life,” she says. “Even when I moved to London when I was modelling, you’d find me at the gym at 9pm instead of out partying.”
