BRAND IN FOCUS || HOKA SKYWARD X

IN FOCUS HOKA SKYWARD X

The new HOKA Skyward X is a neutral shoe for all levels of runner that gives you a lightness and spring that is usually reserved for elites. We know – you want to know where the catch is, but honestly we haven’t found one yet! Words Esther Newman

If this shoe could talk, it would be begging you to run in it. The HOKA Skyward X feels like the pinnacle of HOKA design.

HOKA is shorthand for maximalism when it comes to footwear; the brand has always led the way in super-cushioned shoe design, with stack heights that leave other brands in its wake. And its not just about the stack! Fans of Cliftons and Arahis enthuse as much about the almost unbelievable lightness and the performance of these shoes, as much as that shoe-in Cinderella feel.

The Skyward X certainly fits the HOKA mould in that respect, and fans of the brand’s aesthetics and feel are going to be queueing round the block for this shoe. Weight-wise, as you’d expect with HOKA, this is a much lighter shoe than it looks! Coming in at 261g, it feels practically featherlight when you pick them up.
