WRITERS’ CIRCLES
SPOTLIGHT ON…
Edinburgh Writers’ Club – Celebrating 70 Years!
Edinburgh Writers’ Club emerged from the misery of the Second World War in 1947 and has been running fortnightly ever since, writes Joan Sumner. We have around 45 writers who enjoy a planned programme – expert speakers, workshops and competitions – that runs annually from September to May/June.
We welcome anyone who writes in any genre – short stories, drama, non-fiction, poetry, novels, lyrics, travel, articles and flash fiction. Our membership fee is modest (£40, with concessions for distant and/or disabled writers) to cover approximately eighteen meetings a year and eligibility for our club writing competitions.
