The editorial team at Qwerty Magazine are seeking submissions for their next special issue, ‘Home/Town.’ They are interested in ‘stories of place and space,’ in poems ‘shaped by positions’, and ‘art resisting and defining geography.’ The team suggest writers write about their home, or town, ‘about how one is not the other.’ Street artists and urban photographers are especially welcome to submit, and they’d love to hear from ‘the recently displaced such as refugees and immigrants.’
For fiction and creative non-fiction, submit no more than 5,000 words. For poetry submit no more than 6 pages of poetry. For artwork and photography submit one to five high-quality, unpublished prints per submission. Payment CDN $15 and one complimentary copy. Deadline is the 11 February.
