Is your work becoming stale? Do you feel a change is needed in how your write or perhaps the way you write? Maybe you have become locked into using set forms or regular rhyme patterns.
Why not trying using free verse, or do you think you will miss the rhythm or music in lines? For a subtle rhythmic effect, try using assonance, which is repetition of vowel sounds. Read lines aloud as you compose. Note how vowels can be a long sound as in the word ‘phone’ or a short one as in ‘sun’. A combination of vowel sounds can certainly make music.
