‘We just fell from the sky’

NORTH Sea helicopter crash survivor David Davis of Dalaruan Street, Campbeltown, this week told how he drifted amongst 35-foot waves for over an hour and a half before being rescued.

Mr Davis, 50, had just returned home from the tragedy which claimed the lives of 11 of his colleagues when the helicopter they were travelling in ditched in the sea during a short two-minute flight.
