Brendan O’Hara -The view from Westminster

MAY I start my new monthly column by thanking the Courier team for asking me to write regularly.

A healthy local newspaper is hugely important in helping a community preserve its unique identity. As I give my view of Westminster life and Scottish politics generally, I look forward to provoking lively debates in the paper’s pages.

Firstly, I am delighted that Argyll and Bute has given the SNP government and my colleague Michael Russell such a huge vote of confidence by re-electing him so convincingly as the MSP.
